Jose Aldo is laying down his mixed martial arts gloves again. On Saturday, former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo announced his second retirement. The decision came after losing to Aiemann Zahabi at UFC 315 in a fight many spectators thought Aldo won.

Aldo may not have gone out on top, but if Saturday was indeed the final chapter we'll see from the former UFC featherweight champion, it was a fitting sendoff for an all-time great.

Zahabi (13-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) survived a late scare and turned the tables on Aldo (32-10 MMA, 14-9 UFC) to win a competitive unanimous decision. The featherweight bout was part of the UFC 315 main card at Bell Centre in Montreal.
