With the passage of President Donald Trump's "big beautiful bill," there are lots of questions surrounding cuts to Medicaid. Over 3 million people in Illinois are on the tax-payer funded medical program.

Minnesota state officials warned the bill would cut $500 million a year in reimbursements for hospital and nursing home coverage.

Trump's 'Big Beautiful Bill' contains roughly $4.5 trillion in tax cuts and solidified the tax cuts from Trump’s first term. The wealthiest families will enjoy a $12,000 increase at the cost of the poorest people having to pay an additional $1,
