Kentucky State Police were called to an ATV collision around 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Evarts ATV Park in Harlan County. Preliminary findings indicate that a 22-year-old male was found dead. An investigation was opened by state police.

State troopers across Connecticut responded to 159 motor vehicle crashes on the Fourth of July, including two separate wrecks that left two people dead, Connecticut State Police said.

The man, Derrick G. Barkley, 48, was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado on DeKalb County 30 when the vehicle left the road, struck a fence and utility pole and turned over. He was not wearing a seat belt, and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
