Sue Bird is giving another assist to USA Basketball, becoming the managing director of the women’s national team.

For years, Sue Bird called the shots on the court as a point guard. Now, the legendary WNBA star will be doing it off the court for USA Basketball.

Sue Bird has not committed to giving Caitlin Clark a spot on the 2028 United States Olympic roster just yet. Bird, the women's basketball managing director for Team USA, joked on the Dan Patrick Show that she'll have to evaluate closer to time.
