Public schools in Massachusetts are closed for Veterans Day on Tuesday. Many private colleges, however, still have classes on Veterans Day. All RMV offices and service center locations in Massachusetts are closed on Tuesday and will reopen Wednesday. Most banks are closed for Veterans Day.
People should anticipate that some services may not operate on their normal schedules — if at all — due to the holiday Tuesday.

Communities to honor Veterans Day with parades, ceremonies
Tuesday is Veterans Day, and this Federal holiday is to recognize all who have served in the United States military, both living and deceased.
Two awards named in honor of war heroes from Massachusetts will be presented on Veterans Day at the State House.
A Parade Kick-off ceremony will take place at the War Veterans Monument in upper Kennedy Park at 12:30 p.m. The Veterans Day Parade will step off at 1 p.m. from Kennedy Park and proceed north on South Main Street to Fall River Government Center.
Government offices, libraries, and banks will be closed for the federal holiday, while most retailers will be open.
Expect a chilly start to Tuesday with wind chills dropping temperatures into the upper teens and 20s by daybreak. These will be the coldest temperatures of the season, so make sure to dress warmly if you are attending any Veterans Day events.
