The Associated Press remains excluded from White House Events because "it just refuses to go with what the law is" around Gulf of Mexico name change.

For the first time, President Trump himself said the Associated Press had to change its style on the gulf after the White House began not allowing the news organization to cover several of his events last week.

President Trump told Axios' Marc Caputo on Tuesday that he will continue to restrict the Associated Press' access to the White House "until such time as they agree that it's the Gulf of America." Why it matters: Trump has targeted the AP,
