In week 2 of Basic Training, U.S. Army Trainees are exposed to the CBRN chamber. This event exposes Trainees to chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear irritants that challenge them to remain calm during stressful situations and trust their equipment by efficiently clearing and applying their gas masks. Throughout Basic Combat Training #BCT, Trainees build confidence in themselves and their equipment. Trainees going through the CBRN Chamber learn this first hand when they're tasked to remove their protective equipment, clear it, prior to removing it to experience CS gas.
