Replying to @0000000000000 I remember a trainer once telling me that if someone can navigate the PIP application and assessment process independently, and do it well, that in itself is evidence that they can cope with everyday life. I fundamentally disagree with that as a blanket assumption. The ability to complete a PIP form, gather evidence, challenge a decision or communicate effectively during an assessment does not automatically translate into an ability to manage everyday living activities

My mom was diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia, a form of dementia that affects her speech. I get asked all the time “what is she saying?” “how do you know what she wants” Well we dont…we try our best. We’re with her 24/7 so we just know sometimes, but including them in conversation is so important because she knows what she wants to say she just cant form the words. This makes her feel included, which makes her happy. #caregiver #fyp #dementia #dementiaawareness #dementiacare #alzheimer

Patient Advocate Story: Meet Laurel M. 💜 During our Colorado Walk/Run/Relax event, Laurel shared a powerful reminder about what it can be like to live with migraine. She compared it to a storm we weather for prolonged periods of time; one that can dramatically impact our ability to function and complete even simple daily activities. Everyone is carrying something. By sharing our stories, we can help reduce stigma, find community, and discover new ways to support one another. Thank you, Laurel,
