The Nevada Northern Railway National Historic Landmark is an amazing place. This video shows the shop crew testing the whistle on Locomotive 81. Locomotive 81 was removed from service about 1958. It was donated to the White Pine Public Museum and move there about 1960. For thirty years she sat outside, in 1990, she was moved back to the Nevada Northern Railway engine house. She sat in the corner of the engine house until we started restoring her. Slowly but surely, steady progress has been made.

Eight rivets from 1917 needed to be replaced on Locomotive 81's boiler. Kyle and Dan from Wasatch Railroad Contractors, gave our shop crew some training in riveting.
