FDNY on Instagram: "Just after 8:00 Wednesday morning, FDNY members responded to reports of an explosion at 207 Alexander Avenue in the Bronx. Units arrived at a collapsed structure attached to the building. There are no reported injuries. “We responded in less than four minutes. Numerous FDNY and EMS units responded to the scene. We ran our dogs over the pile of bricks which is the structure that collapsed. It is a ventilation shaft connected to the boiler. We believe that’s where the explosion

FDNY on Instagram: "Put your paws together for the Bureau of Fire Investigation K-9 Unit! 🐾 Our dogs are trained to sniff out ignitable liquids and help rescue victims from large-scale disasters. Most recently, the Unit was tapped to make sure there were no people trapped under the rubble of that partial building collapse in the Bronx. All dogs in the unit are named after fallen members. Let’s get to work!"
