The Animated History of France

Napoleon Bonaparte (1769–1821) was a French general and statesman. He rose to power after the French Revolution and became Emperor of France in 1804. He conquered much of Europe, becoming one of the most powerful leaders of his era, but was defeated at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815 and sent into exile, where he later died.
