It took me a little while to process what happened last month. One of my absolute drum heroes, Mr. Peter Erskine, was our guest — and what a guest he was. Legendary stories, full of humor, heart, and wisdom. His teaching was all about being a great musician, not just a drummer. What a contrast—from playing with the Buddy Rich Big Band to this! 🎷🥁 Got a call two days ago from my old friend @stoppok_musik , who I haven’t played with in 14 years. Their drummer fell sick, and they needed a fill-in. I had just one day to transcribe and learn the songs for the concert! 📝🎶 But it was an absolute blast, like a high school reunion.
