Muhammad Ataul Goni Osmani (1 September 1918 – 16 February 1984), was a Bengali military leader. During the Bangladesh War of Independence in 1971, he was the Commander-in-Chief of Bangladesh Forces. Starting in the British Indian Army in 1939, Osmani's career spanned five decades. During World War II, he fought in Burma.
