PSA! This is a healthy fledgling Great Horned Owl. At this age they are fledging/learning to fly and leave their nests. If they are not in immediate danger and are alert they should be left alone. They will spend some time on the ground and in the vicinity of their nesting tree. This fledgling is big and healthy and defensive and does not need to be in rehab.
