Lew Lehr was a vaudeville performer and radio comedian who became most famous for his novelty segments as part of the Fox Movietone newsreels that were shown in theaters in the 1930s and 1940s. Lehr would provide comical commentary on goofy news stories often involving animals or stock footage of sporting events. His catchphrase was "Monkeys is the cwaziest peoples!"
