This customer dropped off her Spring Cactus because she was afraid it had root rot,which is why you see me smelling it once out of the pot. I inspected the roots and found very little damage. The root ball hadn’t decreased or increased significantly, so I kept the plant in the same size pot. This is a common practice for potted plants-to simply refresh the soil without increasing pot size. The soil recipe here is 1 part cactus soil mixed with 1 part houseplant soil, and yes, there’s a difference
